Obituary for Lewis E. Bailey
Lewis E. Bailey, 81, of Gleason, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at his home.
Lewis was born on November 11, 1940, in Ionia, Michigan, son of the late Thomas and Armilda (Sparks) Bailey. He married Janice Morrical on December 2, 1960, in Dubuque, Iowa. She preceded him in death on November 20, 2021. Lewis worked for General Motors until his retirement in 1992. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, going out west, and traveling.
Lewis is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Edward) Krebs of Jefferson; sons, Daniel (Alieca) Bailey of Plover and Douglas (Tracy) Bailey of Gleason; grandchildren, Nichole, Joshua, Cassandra, Megan, and Austin; five great-grandchildren; and siblings, Pollie (Jerry) McCarthy, Ruth McCarthy, George (Alice) Bailey, Gary (Marilyn) Bailey, Jerry (Cheri) Bailey, Dennis (Veronica) Bailey, and Donna Cather all of Janesville. Lewis was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Bailey; parents, Thomas and Armilda Bailey; and siblings, Thomas Bailey, Darrold Bailey, David Bailey, and Sharon Olson.
A celebration of life for Lewis will be held at a later date. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family.
