Obituary for Peter J. Turner
Peter J. Turner, age 59, of Merrill, passed away at his home Tuesday, October 19, 2021.
Peter was born May 15, 1962, in Merrill, son of John and Lorraine (Hase) Turner. Pete worked at the former Semco Windows plant for over 23 years. More recently, he worked in Maintenance with the Merrill Housing Authority. Pete was a ‘Jack of All Trades’, enjoyed woodworking, and was a vintage car enthusiast. He also enjoyed taking pictures of friends and family, visiting with his grand-daughter Aria, and camping in Hayward.
Pete is survived by his daughter, Leah Turner of Wauwatosa; grand-daughter, Aria; parents, John and Lorraine Turner of Merrill; sisters, Denise Latzig of Merrill, and Jill (Jim) Pike of Three Lakes; brother, Tom (Jodi) Turner of Merrill; special friend, Jessica Matteson of Merrill; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
A private memorial service for Pete will be held at a later date. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Jessi’s Wish or the Lincoln County Humane Society.
