Obituary for Marlene 'Marcie' Luedtke
Marlene M. ‘Marcie’ Luedtke, age 80, of Merrill, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at her home under the care of her loving family and hospice services.
Marcie was born July 6, 1941, in Merrill, daughter of the late George and Mabel Langbecker. She married Robert Luedtke on July 9, 1960. He preceded her in death in 1987. Marcie had been a homemaker and an in-home daycare provider. Marcie was a fan of both Elvis Presley and Danny O’Donnell. She enjoyed socializing with family and friends, attending the 4th of July parties at her brother Larry’s home, babysitting, and watching the Green Bay Packers. Most of all, Marcie enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marcie is survived by three daughters, Tammy (Jerry, Jr.) Harmon, Judy (Michael, Sr.) Pagel, and Tina Luedtke (Steve Frick), all of Merrill; one son, Norm (Linda) Luedtke of Merrill; eleven grandchildren, Sheila, Savanna, Duel, Andy, Samantha, Michael, Dustin, Derek, David, Allison, and Paige; thirteen great-grandchildren, Landon, Brantley, Madelyn, Kaylynn, Jase, Lily, Dylan, Jackson, Mason, Drake, Dexter, Viktor, and William; and her siblings, Leila Marnholtz (Bert Poi, Jr), Karen (Jerome) Christian, and Myron ‘Mike’ (Jean) Langbecker, all of Merrill, and Rick Langbecker of Wausau. Besides her parents and husband, Marcie is preceded in death by by her brother, Eugene Langbecker, her brother and sister-in-law Larry and Chris Langbecker, her brother-in-law, Louie Marnholtz, and sister-in-law, Karen Langbecker.
The Funeral will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. Adam Rodriquez will officiate. Burial will follow in Merrill Memorial Park, Merrill. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Saturday at the church. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family.
