Obituary for Thomas 'Tom' R. Taylor
Thomas R. ‘Tom’ Taylor, 84, formerly of Merrill, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at his home in Minocqua, under the care of his family and hospice services.
Tom was born September 6, 1935, in Merrill, son of the late Stuart and Marion (Grefe) Taylor. He married Phyllis Wood in California in 1964. She preceded him in death in December of 2001. Tom was the former owner/operator of Lakewood Computer Corporation in Fort Collins, Colorado. Tom enjoyed fishing and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Tom honorably served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his two children, Natalie (Mike) Loberg, Wellington, Colorado, and Craig Taylor, Bailey, Colorado; his granddaughter, Taylor Loberg, Nebraska; and two half siblings, Debbie and Vicki. Besides his wife and parents, Tom is preceded in death by a sister, Betty (Fred) Damp.
Private family inurnment will take place at Merrill Memorial Park Columbarium. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Merrill V.F.W. Post 1638 Honor Guard.
