Obituary for Suzette M Winterfeldt
Suzette M. Winterfeldt, age 63, of Merrill, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018, at Tomahawk Health Services.
Suzette was born August 4, 1954, in Tomahawk, daughter of the late Willard and Ardena (Winchell) Hanson. She married Lee Winterfeldt on July 2, 1977. He preceded her in death on July 2, 2013. Suzette had been employed at Pine Crest Nursing Home and Good Samaritan Health Center, both in Merrill. Suzette enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Suzette also enjoyed visiting with friends, baking, cooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, gardening, her pets and other animals. She was a former member of the Merrill V.F.W. Post 1638 Women’s Auxiliary.
Survivors include her three daughters, Charmain Winterfeldt (fiancée, Duane Budsberg), April (Andy) Sobiesczyk, and Melissa Winterfeldt, all of Merrill; three grandchildren, Nora, Donovan, and Colton; five sisters, Carol McKinnon, Illinois, Audrey ( Carl)Pophal, Merrill, Diane Erling, Illinois, Flora (Gib) Forester, Antigo, and Paulette Hoffman, Bend, Oregon; and two brothers, Raymond Hanson, Antigo, and George Hanson, Gleason. Besides her husband and parents, Suzette is preceded in death by her siblings, Duane, Rose, Pete, Janice, baby boy Willard Hanson, Jr., and a baby sister.
A Celebration of Life for Suzette will begin at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Christ United Methodist Church, Merrill. The Rev. Ho Lee will officiate. The celebration will continue until 5:00 PM on Saturday in the church fellowship hall.
