Obituary for Sally E. Bachi
Sally E. Bachi, age 74, of Merrill, passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016, under the care of her daughter, Sabrina, and hospice services.
Sally was born April 8, 1941, in Merrill, daughter of the late Roy and Eileen Paul. She married Max Bachi, and they later divorced. Sally graduated from Merrill High School in 1959. She had worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Company, Merrill, and also at the former E.R.A. Lincoln Realty, Merrill. Sally had also worked for Lincoln County Department of Social Services assisting the elderly and handicapped. She enjoyed reading, feeding the birds and squirrels, and watching the Green Bay Packers. Sally had enlisted in the U.S. Navy but was honorably discharged after several weeks due to an illness.
Survivors include her daughter, Sabrina Bachi, Merrill; two grandsons, Christian and Colton Bachi; her ex-husband and still best friend, Max Bachi, Merrill; and two siblings Roger Paul and Diane (Ed) Chartier, both of Merrill. Besides her parents, Sally is preceded in death by two siblings, Barbara Duginski and Richard Paul.
Sally’s funeral will begin at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 7, 2016, at St. Stephens United Church of Christ, Merrill. The Rev. Missy Holdorf will officiate. Burial will follow in Merrill Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM Monday at the church. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family.
