Ronald H. ‘Ron’ Young, 85, of the Town of Rock Falls, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024, at Tomahawk Health Services.
Ron was born July 20, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late Elmer and Helen (Graap) Young. He married Ruth Stevenson on June 27, 1964, in Merrill. She survives. Ron worked at Marathon Electric for over forty years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and making firewood.
Ron is survived by his wife, Ruth Young of the Town of Rock Falls; sons, Rodney (Julie) Young of the Town of Harding and Roy (Ann) Young of the Town of Little Rice; grandchildren, Ben Young and Alexandra (Brendan) Dinges; great-grandson, Lucas Young; and half-brother, Elroy (Wendy) Weisman.
The memorial service for Ron will be held at 7:00 P.M., Friday, May 17, 2024, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Deacon Jim Arndt will preside. The family will receive friends beginning at 4:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
