Obituary for Michael J. Krueger
Michael J. Krueger, 68, of Merrill, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020, at his home.
Mike was born April 11, 1952, in Merrill, son of Anna ‘Ann’ Krueger and the late Ernest Krueger, Jr. He married Karen Jacobson on December 18, 1976, in Merrill. She preceded him in death on January 1, 2020. Mike graduated from Merrill High School in 1970 and immediately began working for Weaver Plumbing in Merrill. He worked for several years as a small engine repairman and then entered the plumbing apprenticeship program. He eventually became a licensed Master Plumber and in 1996, Mike and his wife, Karen, started Krueger Plumbing, LLC, where he was still very active in the business. He liked working, but when he had some free time, Mike also enjoyed hunting, four-wheeling, spending time at his cabin in Harrison, and mowing lawn
Survivors include his son, Eric (Jennifer) Krueger of Merrill; two grandchildren, Gabrielle and Joseph Krueger of Merrill; mother, Anna ‘Ann’ Krueger of Merrill; sister-in-law, Sandi Krueger of Athens; and brother-in-law, Keith Jacobson of Merrill. Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Krueger; father, Ernest Krueger, Jr.; brothers, Jeffrey ‘Jeff’ Krueger and Fred Krueger; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lloyd and Mary Ann Jacobson.
A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.
