Obituary for Marion A. Anderson
Marion A. Anderson, 85, of Merrill passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at her home under the care of her family and hospice services.

Marion was born January 26, 1935, in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Emil and Luella (Buhrow) Winter. She married Roger Anderson on June 2, 1956. He survives. Marion was very proud to have earned her G.E.D.; she received it in 1979, the same year her daughter graduated from high school. Marion had worked at the former Fox Point, Merrill, and Weinbrenner Shoe Company, Merrill. Marion was also a stay-at-home Grandma and was very involved in her grandchildren’s lives. They both fondly remember playing baseball in the front yard with Grandma and how Grandma was always there for everything. Marion enjoyed camping and traveling out west. She also liked coloring and Black Friday shopping with the girls. Marion was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Merrill.

Survivors include her husband, Roger Anderson of Merrill; daughter, Barbara (Scott) Fraser of Wisconsin Rapids; grandchildren, Jared (Vaneta) Maahs of Wausau, and Mandi (Brian) Schmidt of Merrill; step grandchildren, Joshua Fraser and Lilliana Fraser; step great-grandchildren, Reba Matelski, Tyler Matelski, and Katelyn Schmidt; special grand-puppy, Bruno; sister, Helen Bielke of Virginia; brother, Herman (Shirley) Winter of Rhode Island; best friend, Anne Wick of Merrill; sister-in-law, Estelle Klemp of Merrill; and brothers-in-law, Lyle (Halena) Anderson of Merrill and Marvin (Mary) Anderson of Merrill. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Luella Winter; grandson, Jessub Roger Maahs; step great-granddaughter, Amber Schmidt; sisters-in-law, Joyce (Harlan) Baumgartner and Beulah Gorman; and brothers-in-law, Wallace Bielke and Lyle Klemp.
