Obituary for Lawrence Herbert Bubolz
Lawrence H. Bubolz, age 90, of Merrill, passed away at Aspirus Wausau Hospital on Saturday, August 25, 2018, with his family at his side.
Lawrence was born August 12, 1928, in Merrill, son of the late Herbert and Bertha (Kienbaum) Bubolz. He married Jean H. Langhoff on May 23, 1953, in Immanuel Lutheran Church, town of Corning. She survives. Lawrence was a Journeyman Plumber and had retired from Weaver & Sons, Inc. of Merrill. Lawrence honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1950 until 1952, and was stationed in Germany. He was a member of the Merrill V.F.W. Post 1638.
Survivors include his wife, Jean H. Bubolz, Merrill; three daughters, Elizabeth (Donald) Gille, Wausau, and Sarah (Todd) Burkhardt and Sheila (Dan) Mueller, both of Merrill; one son, Mark (Bonnie) Bubolz, Sycamore, Illinois; four grandchildren, Andrew (Sarah) Gille, Jessica (Paul) Smith, Jill (Clint) Anderson, and Mariah Mueller (with, Kevin Voelz); three great grandchildren, Payton and Jared Anderson, and Joshua Krause; four step grandchildren; eleven step great grandchildren; one step great great grandchild; and several in laws, Louis Langhoff, Oshkosh, Isabelle (Robert) Hoff, Marion Simon, and Shirley Borchardt all of Merrill, Clarice (Ervin) Boehm, Wausau, and Florence Langhoff, Sheboygan. Besides his parents, Lawrence is preceded in death by one son, Allen; and his in laws, Margery and William Klammer, Glen Buffinton, Vernette and Milton Kleinschmidt, Geraldine Langhoff, Lavern Borchardt, Richard Simon, and David Langhoff.
The funeral will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 31, 2018, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. The Rev. Kenneth Albers will officiate. Entombment will follow in Merrill Memorial Park Mausoleum with graveside military rites conducted by the Merrill V.F.W. Post 1638 Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, and after 9:30 AM Friday at the funeral home.
