Obituary for Laura B. Pezzi
Laura B. Pezzi, age 97, formerly of Sussex, WI, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Woodland Court Elder Services in Merrill.
Laura was born on April 14, 1919, to the late Emil and Ida (Weihert) Schultz. She married Alfred Pezzi on June 21, 1940. He preceded her in death in July of 2000. Laura worked at Rehea Manufacturing. She spent her free time crocheting and donated multiple baby items to Community Memorial Hospital. She also enjoyed crocheting items for her family and friends. Laura enjoyed playing rummy, gambling, travelling and taking bus trips.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Stensby of Crivitz, WI; one son, Alfred (Karen) Pezzi of Merrill; four grandchildren, Dale, Donald, Paul and Hannah; and numerous great-grandchildren. Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Pezzi; her parents, Emil and Ida Schultz; her son-in-law, Richard Stensby; and her siblings and their spouses, Lillian (Gustav) Hafemann, Lucille (Walter) Netzel, Esther (Ludwig) Luconan, Clarence (Dorothy) Schultz and Arthur (Sylvia) Schultz.
The memorial service will begin at 12:00 P.M., Noon, Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. The Rev. Greg Laska will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date in Pinelawn Cemetery, Milwaukee. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill.
