Obituary for Judith C. 'Judy' Tubbin
Judith C. ‘Judy’ Tubbin, age 80, of Merrill, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.
Judy was born November 25, 1938, in Merrill, daughter of the late Julius and Leona (Sukow) Boettcher. She married Jerry Tubbin on November 21, 1959, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. He survives. Judy was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church and helped take care of the bookwork for the youth group. Judy had worked as an accountant for an insurance broker. Judy enjoyed shopping; working on puzzles; collecting roosters, dolls and birds; and playing cards. After their retirement, Judy and Jerry traveled several times to Florida and out west. They also enjoyed spending time at their cottage in Harrison Hills. Most of all, Judy loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 60 years, Jerry Tubbin of Merrill; two sons, Steve (Kathy) Tubbin of Slinger and Mike (Marie) Tubbin of Waukesha; four grandchildren, Laura Tubbin, Dan (Jaclyn) Tubbin, Scott (Kim) Tubbin and Jeff (Hannah) Tubbin; four great-grandchildren, Conor, Colin, Evelyn and Rhett; and one brother-in-law, Harry A. (Betty Anne) Tubbin of Viroqua, Wisconsin. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Billy Tubbin.
A private funeral service will be held. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.
