Obituary for John T. Prebeg
John Thomas Prebeg, age 70, of Merrill, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Pine Crest Nursing Home under the care of his family, the nursing home staff and hospice services.
John was born June 5, 1950 in Perrysburg, Ohio, son of the late Joseph and Marilyn (Johnson) Prebeg. John had attended Valdosta Technical School in Valdosta, Georgia where he earned his Associate Degree in Surgical Technology. John had been a Surgical Technician at Merrill and Wausau area hospitals. He also drove school bus for Wendorf Bus Service in Merrill. John enjoyed cooking, playing cards, and visiting with his grandchildren. John honorably served with the U.S. Air Force and was discharged in March of 1970.
John is survived by three sons, Daniel (Meredith) Prebeg and Matthew (Jessica) Prebeg both of Merrill, and Michael (Amy) Prebeg of Green Bay; seven grandchildren, Tristen Prebeg, Allison (Dakota) Ress, and Izabella, Ashley, Alyssa, Noah, and Elijah Prebeg; three brothers, Joseph Prebeg of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Dan (Marie) Prebeg of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Tim (Joyce) Prebeg of Tomahawk, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.
