Obituary for Jeffrey S. Malzahn
Jeffrey Scott Malzahn 59, of Merrill, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 4, 2020 at his home.

Jeff was born December 11, 1960 to Don I. and Ruth (Watts) Malzahn. Jeff grew up in West Bend and graduated from West Bend East High School in 1980. After graduation Jeff worked for the family business, Don I Malzahn Masonry Inc. for many years and became not only an experienced mason, but an expert at concrete/flat work. He married Sandy (Bieszk) on April 28, 1990. They had two children, daughter Stephanie Ruth in 1991 and son Scott Robert Malzahn in 1994. Jeff and Sandy moved their family to Merrill in 1996 where Jeff worked for Miron Construction before starting his own masonry business, Malzahn Masonry which he owned and operated until April 2010 when he suffered a stroke.

Jeff was a huge Packers fan and in his free time attended as many games as he could and even tattooed the G with all the teams Super Bowl wins on his arm. He loved getting tattoos with his daughter including matching ones of bobbers as the most recent. He was an avid fisherman, especially for Muskies, and an avid hunter. He loved rock music of all kinds and knew his bands, albums and lyrics. If you got stumped on a music question, Jeff knew the answer! He was a loving, giving and kind man and will be remembered as such. He loved his children more than anything. His daughter Stephanie was his main caregiver after his stroke. They were the best of friends and did everything together. They took care of each other up until his passing.

Jeff is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Ruth (Erik) of Merrill; his son, Scott Robert of Stevens Point; his ex-wife and dear friend, Sandy Malzahn of Stevens Point; his two grand puppies, Charlie and Gotti; step mother, Kathy Malzahn of Elcho; brother, Mark (Denise) Malzahn of West Bend; sister, Lora Richards of Watertown; two step siblings, Kurt (Sheri) Cornelius of West Bend and Kim (Jim) Feider of Ripon; niece, Brittany Malzahn of West Bend; and nephews, Jason and Davis Richards both of Watertown and Brandon (Sara) Belger of Kewaskum; along with many extended family members. He will also be missed by many cousins, other relatives and friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; paternal and maternal grandparents; aunts and uncles; brother-in-law, Jeff Richards; son-in-law, Lyle Dallman; plus his grand puppy, Bailey and other extended relatives.

There will be no services at this time. However, a celebration of life and service will take place in spring along with the burial of his ashes at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend next his parents as he wished.

Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, assisted the family. Online condolences may be made at www.taylorstinefuneralhome.com
