Obituary for Jean A. Fredrich
Jean A. Fredrich, 83, of Merrill, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Jean was born October 23, 1934, in Wausau, daughter of the late Oscar and Elsie (Tapper) Gaulke. She married Ray Fredrich on June 30, 1956. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1991. Jean was a member of St. Stephens United Church of Christ, Merrill. She enjoyed taking care of her flowers and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Kim (Scott) Voigt of Merrill and Manda (Tom) Strick of Wausau; five grandchildren, Jason (Annie) Voigt of Plymouth, MN, Matthew (Amanda) Voigt of Wausau, Alissa Strick of Wausau, Ben Strick (Jamie Caudle) of Chicago and Luke Strick of Wausau; three great-grandchildren, Lexi Voigt, Brynn Voigt and Miles Voigt; one sister, LaVerne Johnson of Montana; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Fredrich; parents, Oscar and Elsie Gaulke; and siblings, Lorraine Goetsch, Lucille Lach, Pearl Natal, Marian Wozniczka, Harold Gaulke and Oscar ‘Bud’ Gaulke.
The funeral service for Jean will be held at 1:30 P.M. Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. Kyle Carnes will officiate. Burial will take place in Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M., Noon, Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Stephens United Church of Christ, Merrill or the Lincoln County Humane Society.
