Obituary for HelenMarie Joan Ziesemer
HelenMarie J. Ziesemer, 93, of Merrill, formerly of Marshfield and Milwaukee, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
HelenMarie was born April 19, 1923 in Marshfield, daughter of the late Walter and Martha (Steger) Anderson. She married Raymond Ziesemer on November 5, 1945 in Marshfield. He preceded her in death on December 6, 2008. HelenMarie and Raymond lived in Milwaukee from 1945 until 2004, and thereafter moved to Merrill. HelenMarie was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Merrill. HelenMarie enjoyed volunteering at her church in Milwaukee, knitting, embroidery, and cooking. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary (Greg) Deuster of Menomonee Falls; three sons, Walter (Cindy) Ziesemer of Milwaukee, Phillip (Mary) Ziesemer of Merrill and Joseph (Kathleen) Ziesemer of Merrill; eleven grandchildren, Sheri, Melissa, Mark, Roberta, Dan, Amy, Jessica, Nicole, Crystal, Brandon and John; and several great-grandchildren. HelenMarie was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; and her parents, Walter and Martha Anderson.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 23, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Merrill. Father Chris Kemp will preside. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Saturday at the church. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.
