Obituary for Donna M. Baumann
Donna M. Baumann, age 80, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2016, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Donna was born February 21, 1936, in Merrill, daughter of the late Louis and Mary Zastrow. She married Donald N. Baumann on December 26, 1960. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2011. Donna had been a Dental Assistant in Merrill prior to her retirement. She had also worked at the former Snyder Drug Store in Merrill. She enjoyed spending time with Don at their cabin and going to antique car shows with him, visiting with friends at the senior meals at Royal Gates in Goodrich, browsing through rummage sales, and taking care of her home.
Survivors include two nieces, Ruth (Mike) Zastrow-Erickson, Merrill, and Rose (Roger) Echelbarger, Merrill; one nephew, Raymond (Marilyn) Zastrow, Merrill; her great niece, Hannah Zastrow, Merrill; and several nieces and nephews on Don’s side of the family. Besides her husband and parents, Donna is preceded in death by her brother and sister in law, George and Carol Zastrow.
A private family committal service will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery, Merrill, later this spring. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family.
