Obituary for Dian L. Steinfest
Dian L. Steinfest "Grandma Pig", 74, went home to heaven Tuesday May 12th 2020.
She was born May 23rd 1945 in Merrill, WI to the late Leslie and Eleanor Sukow. Dian and her husband Larry Steinfest met when they were 14 years old. They spent 56 loving years together, he survives. She spent her life as a nursing assistant and later worked for Krembs Dental. Dian graduated from Merrill high school in 1963. She was a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Gleason. Dian enjoyed hunting and gardening. She loved animals especially her pigs, donkeys and dog Willow.
Dian's family was her life. She is survived by her Husband Larry Steinfest, Brother Dan Sukow (Sandy), Daughter Tammy Jacobson (Casey), Son Tim Steinfest, and Daughter Tena Gnewuch (Chad). She is further survived by her Grandchildren: Jed Norman (Sam), Ben Norman (Sarah), Toriana Hoeck (Andy), Samantha Steinfest, Amanda Steinfest (Brandon), Melinda Steinfest, Dillon Gnewuch, and Carter Gnewuch; Great Grandchildren: Mikaili, Leiloni, Colton, Faith and Macie; and nieces and nephews. Dian was preceded in death by her Daughter Tracey.
A Graveside service for Dian will be held Saturday, May 16th 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Luther Memorial Church Cemetery, Town Hall Road, Town of Russell. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family.
