Obituary for David E. Lemon
David E. Lemon, 64, of Merrill, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, surrounded by his family at Aspirus Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids.
David was born November 24, 1957, in Wausau, son of the late Floyd and Sylvia (Turner) Lemon. Dave graduated from Merrill High School with the class of 1976. He attended Lakeland University and Northcentral Technical College. Dave had worked for 23 years as an underwriting trainer at Humana.
Dave enjoyed fishing and hunting. He especially enjoyed fishing trips with his family. He particularly loved hunting in Wyoming with his father and brothers. He enjoyed taking his daughter and her children to Great America and Bay Beach.
Dave loved people and was outgoing. He had a great sense of humor and could tell a darn good joke. Dave enjoyed cooking and entertaining, and loved going to parties. He loved singing karaoke and playing the harmonica. Dave supported his parents during their last years. He was one of the reasons Floyd and Sylvia were able to remain in their home as long as they did.
Survivors include his daughter, Tracy Lemon (Brian Piotrowski); grandchildren, Allyson English (Konnor Beyer), Jillian English (Dawson Woller), and Avery Piotrowski; siblings, Jean (Lonnie) Balthazor, Dale (Lynne) Lemon, Sue (Scott) Williams, Daniel (Debi) Lemon, and Amy (Mike) Stiver; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Sylvia Lemon; and sister, Marilyn Lemon.
Per Dave’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.
