Billy C. ‘Bill’ Hehling, 66, of Gleason, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024, at his home.
Billy was born April 25, 1957, in Merrill, son of the late John Jr. and Darlene (Weinkauf) Hehling. Bill worked as an over-the-road truck driver for various businesses, including I.T.C., Pioneer Trucking, E.J. Peters Trucking, Marks Transportation, Midland Paper, and Lincoln Wood. Bill also drove for Bluejay Taxi and Midwest Caravans’ taxi service. He retired in 2007. Bill was a talented auto mechanic and enjoyed working on trucks and other vehicles. He also enjoyed riding his A.T.V., plowing snow, and mowing lawn.
Survivors include his children, Mindy (Brad) Litzen of Antigo, Katie Palesh of Wausau, and Mathew Heisler of Wausau; seven grandchildren; brother, Robert Hehling of Gleason; and the mother of his children, Lisa Heisler Hehling of Wausau. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Hehling; father, John Hehling; and sister, Betty Hehling.
The memorial service for Bill Hehling will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. Scott Gustafson will officiate. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family.
