Obituary for Alice F. Cortright
Alice F. Cortright, age 72, of Merrill passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016, at her home.
Alice was born June 27, 1943, in Merrill, daughter of the late Herbert and Meta (Kell) Cortright. She had worked for 15 years as a cashier at Wal-Mart in Merrill. Alice enjoyed ceramics, volunteering at the hospital, shopping with Judy, and playing BINGO. She especially loved her pet dogs and cat.
Survivors include one daughter, Debra (Mike, Sr.) LaBlance of Merrill; three sons, Richard Stockowitz of Red Granite, WI, Daniel Lee Slott, Jr. of Big Springs, TX and Brian Keith Slott of Lisbon, OH; five grandchildren, Dustin Stockowitz, Dylan Stockowitz, Erin (Ryan) Sullivan, Marissa Slott and Jamie Slott; one step granddaughter, Kathleen Genovese; two great-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; three sisters, Janet Leary of Milwaukee, Donna (Jim) Dehnel of Merrill and Rita (Gary) Dolgner of Milwaukee; one sister-in-law, Judy Cortright of Merrill; and many nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Meta Cortright; one step grandson, Michael LaBlance, Jr.; and her siblings, Joan Peck, Lois Cortright, Catherine Padgett, Jerome Cortright and Bertram Cortright.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Noon, Friday February 19, 2016, at Hillside Fellowship of the Assemblies of God, Merrill. Rev. Allen J. Worlin will officiate. Burial will take place in Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Friday at the church. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill is assisting the family with arrangements.
